There are two datasets within this service, one for quality and one for quantity:
1.) Architectural Survey Quality - This dataset uses a hexagonal grid (200ac per hex) joined to architectural boundaries to generalize the quality of survey over an area. Architectural resources were given a score of 1 to 3 based on the time frame in which they were surveyed. A score of 3 (high) was given to resources surveyed within the last 5 years. A score of 2 was given to resources surveyed between 5 and 15 years. Everything else was given a 1. The mean value of all resources within a hexagon was then calculated and used to symbolize the data.
2.) Architectural Survey Quantity - This dataset was created by joining the architectural resources to the locality boundaries. If a resource overlaps more than one locality it is counted in each locality. The count per locality was used to symbolize the data. |
